Greetings, strange people!
This is a very boring journal about my diet. The plan started out like this: I was going to write down, as often as possible, what I was eating, how I was feeling about myself and about what I was eating and whatever else happens to be around, and end up losing a lot of weight and be able to party about it.
Lately, this journal, if I write at all, has been mostly about my running and exercising. But there are other random things about dieting in there, too. Mostly, it's a place for me to rant and rave and encourage myself. It's not the greatest reading material, and I'm not trying to make it very good reading material, to be honest. I just need a place to write about what's happening as I work my way down from over 200 pounds to closer to the 135 pound mark.
I started my diet right around 9 November 2006. I'm not sure exactly what day. But I went to the doctor's office for a routine check-up and when they checked my weight, I got upset. I weighed 204 pounds. I'm only 5'4" with a medium/large build. More medium than large, to be honest. My goal is to weigh somewhere between 135-140 lbs by the time I'm finished.
At the start of this journal (22 Jan 07), I weighed 195 lbs. I weigh myself once a week.
The original goal was to get all this weight off within a year of starting. That hasn't happened. Currently, the goal is to lose the weight. That's it. I don't care how long it takes, exactly, so long as I boot it out the door before I'm 30. (That gives me 2 years and a bit.) I'd be thrilled if I could be slender for my wedding in March, but as long as I'm more slender then than I am today, I've accomplished something major.
